What Tally is
Tally is a monthly ledger for income, subscriptions and spending, at tally-now.app. Every figure it shows is arithmetic on what you typed. Nothing is guessed, forecast or fetched about your money. Tally is free.
Tally never connects to a bank, card or payment account and never asks for financial credentials. It has no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts of any kind.
What we store
- Your sign-in identity. You sign in with Apple. From Apple we keep a stable account identifier and, when the provider has verified it, your email address. If you use Apple's private relay, we keep the relay address. Accounts created before September 2026 through Google sign-in, which Tally no longer offers, keep the identifier and email Google verified then. We do not store your name, photo or password; Tally has no passwords at all.
- Your ledger. The income, subscriptions, spending lines and set-asides you enter, with the names, amounts and dates you gave them, and the starting balance you typed (a date and an amount). Goals entered before September 2026 are kept as you left them. It is stored as one record tied to your account so it follows you between devices.
- Session records. A hashed session token so you stay signed in for up to 30 days, plus short-lived records of sign-in attempts by IP address and of used sign-in tokens, kept only long enough to stop abuse and replay.
- Timestamps. When your account was created and last used.
What we do with it
We use the ledger only to show it back to you and keep your devices in step. We use your email only to reply if you write to us. It never links accounts: your ledger opens by your Apple identity alone. We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising or to train any model.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts Tally and stores the database. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
- Apple handles sign-in under its own privacy policy. Tally never loads Apple's script into the page; each sign-in is a plain redirect to Apple and back.
- Google Fonts serves the Inter typeface. Your browser fetches it from Google, which sees your IP address as with any web font.
We would disclose data only if the law required it.
Cookies and your device
Tally sets two first-party cookies: a session cookie so you stay signed in, and a ten-minute cookie that protects a sign-in in progress. Both are HttpOnly and never readable by scripts. There are no third-party cookies.
Your browser also keeps a local copy of the app shell and your ledger so Tally opens quickly and works offline. That copy lives on your device and is cleared when you sign out or clear site data.
Your control
- Export. The ledger can be exported as CSV or a spreadsheet from inside the app at any time.
- Edit. Everything in the ledger can be changed or removed from inside the app.
- Delete your account. Email support@neutrontech.ai from the address on the account and we will delete the account, its ledger and its sessions within 30 days, and confirm when it is done.
Retention and security
Your account and ledger are kept until you ask for deletion. Sessions expire after 30 days; sign-in records expire within minutes. All traffic is encrypted in transit. The app runs under a strict content security policy that allows no third-party script.
Children
Tally is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly keep an account for one. If you believe a child has created one, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that materially reduces your privacy will be announced inside the app before it takes effect.
